The New SUBARU WRX, LEGACY and the LEVORG

SUBARU TO SHOW OFF TWO NEW CONCEPTS AND WRX RELEASE NOVEMBER 20, 2013 at Tokyo Auto show.

Subaru has launched a video promoting what looks to be a new wagon or hatchback with some slick new curves, hinting what looks to be the new Subaru DIT, Direct Injection fuel system.   The new teaser is called the Subaru Levorg.


The New 2015 WRX 

Subaru has been throwing teasers all over the internet with these new models. Releasing a 'front-end' view teaser of the new WRX. The new 2015 WRX is expected to be at 268hp producing a 0-60 5.4 seconds, housing the new Direct Injection technology, CVT and Manual along with a possible twin-scroll turbo.

Carscoops released footage of what appears to be a test drive of the new WRX.

Tesla Talks Truck

Autoblog reports Tesla’s next project to be an F-150 Competitor

    After the successful release of Tesla’s Model XCUV, Elon Musk and his team are testing the waters with a new electric truck. Something to compete against Ford’s F-150.

“If you're trying to replace the most gasoline miles driven, you have to look at what people are buying," Musk said during an impromptu Q&A session following a speech at Business Insider's Ignition conference. "[The F-150 is] the best selling car in America. If people are voting that's their car, then that's the car we have to deliver.” -autoblog
 


      Many people may see an electric pick up as a joke; but when considering the whole concept of the idea that Tesla’s goal is to replace Gas and petrol vehicles, the company may be on the right track.The idea of an electric truck still faces a battle of demographics and markets. Trucks are to be big, tough and powerful. Replacing these large combustion behemoths with battery packs and fuels cells might be a hard thing to push.

    The Tesla truck is still 5 years in the making, but with the new improvements of power and torque Tesla is able to deliver, a truck isn’t impossible.

The Big Debate

Battery vs. Fuel Cell; this is the big decision automakers are struggling to make when it comes to research and development for new vehicles.  The big decision rests on the efficiency of manufacturing and distributing hydrogen at an affordable rate. Right now the average cost per gallon is around $10 dollars but delivers about 81 miles to that gallon.  Battery electric is about $3 per 81 driven miles. Toyota, BMW and others are are betting that by 2020, hydrogen can be delivered at $1 a gallon. Closing the gaps of cost per gallon by leaps and strides. 

Who's jumping on the bandwagon?

It's been reported that BMW and Tesla have already dropped more than $3 billion in R & D for fuel cell vehicle production. All betting the odds that battery operated vehicles will soon become a thing of the past and meet extinction. Hybrids and Batteries are great for better MPG's but they are limited in the recycling process; thus in the end leaving a bigger carbon footprint than advertised.

MSRP from $70,000-100,000 as to be revealed Nov. 20th 

a second release to be set at 2018/2020 for less than $50,000

FCV concept looks like a regular sedan and is expected to take it's passengers 300 miles per tank of hydrogen.
